About Liz Johnson Counselling

With over a decade of experience, Liz Johnson Counselling specialises in providing online individual and couples therapy. As an accredited BACP member, my practice is dedicated to creating a safe and trustworthy space for my clients.  I work with clients on issues they want to focus on, offering a supportive space for individuals.  I build a relationship with my clients, exploring their backgrounds to help support their future. I ensure my clients feel heard and safe in order for them to flourish both as an individual and a couple.  My specialisms are relationships issues, past trauma, communication, self-esteem and sexual issues within a relationship.  I believe in a client centred approach, working collaboratively with clients to empower them to reach their goals.

Testimonials

Past clients have had the following to say about my work.

"The sessions were very helpful to be able to off load external family pressures which was the main cause of our problems which ultimately had an effect on our relationship, the sessions highlighted our apprehensions and helped resolve the anxiety and provided a positive way forward."

"individual sessions (as part of couples therapy) really good, got to know the therapist and felt they knew me.  genogram good, covered history

exercises good, especially vulnerability cycle, was amazing and will stay with us forever.  how do you feel love also nice.  the best sessions were the hardest ones.  felt therapist knew when to interject and when to hold back and let us talk.  felt therapist asked good questions.  Liz was excellent, on the money questions and helped us realise things."

"They have saved our marriage.  Given us more insight and tools to work through things.  We started off almost on different planets and then the sessions gave us that common ground and safe space to work through everything in a supported way.  We each felt very supported and heard.  That has enabled us to come back together again."
